RISE

A 3-month Mentorship and Education Program

RISE stands for resiliency, inclusion, social awareness, and education. The RISE program is a 3-month mentorship and education program where 30 children will build a bike, receive coaching from BMX professionals, meet community leaders, and industry influencers.

Our USA BMX coaching staff seeks to identify three riders in each class who portray the desire to continue their journey in BMX racing or freestyle. USA BMX will award these youth a lifetime membership to USA BMX, unlimited coaching at the national headquarters, (including) riding, nutrition, fitness, and a personal bike and full racing kit. These three riders will enter the Grand National Championship during Thanksgiving week and will represent the R.I.S.E program on a global stage.

Our overall goal is to continue our strategic and intentional commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. We plan to take the RISE program and implement it throughout the country, and already have requests from around the world for more information.

The class will begin and finish each session on bikes at the BMX headquarters, guided and coached by a two-time Olympian, Brooke Crain, and world champion, Jeff Upshaw.
